World of Concrete 2010 is HERE!!!

The 2010 World of Concrete Trade Show is finally here!  While some of our team members arrived over the weekend, almost everyone arrived bright and early this morning.  As soon as we checked into our hotel rooms and bought a little something for breakfast, it was time to get to work laying carpet and setting up the booth for both teams.

This year marks a new beginning for both the Ashford Formula and RetroPlate teams at WOC '10.  Instead of being miles apart from each other in the Las Vegas Convention Center, we are now back-to back, and will be from now on.  No more having to explain where the other team's booth is from now on.  Now all we have to do is point and say, "they're right behind us!"

So what's new and exciting with Ashford Formula in 2010?  Well, after years of talking and planning, and many, many hours of meetings, designing and data input, the long awaited and revamped AshfordFormula.com is finally making its debut.  While we have not yet formally launched the website and gone live, we are giving everyone who stops by our booth a preview of what to expect in the coming week.  It is a very exciting time for the Ashford Formula team!  Let me share with you the new things you'll see on our new and improved website:

1. I'm An section where Applicators, Building Owners, Contractors and Specifiers can find information      and downloads tailored specifically to their needs.

2. Rotating ad banners which will announce all Ashford Formula news, events and promotions as they happen.

3.  Real testimonies from customers all over the world, both on the homepage and in our new Performance section.  We will also be showcasing digital images of original letters from prominent corporations expressing their satisfaction with using the Ashford Formula on their facilities.  We also have a submit your testimony section.

4. Rotating case study pictures featured on the home page from all over the globe that link directly to the new case studies section.

5. New Facebook and Twitter links which take you directly from AshfordFormula.com to these social media sites.

6. Ticker counting the billions of square-feet treated with the Ashford Formula everyday.

8. Performance section that includes detailed case studies and photos, videos, industry specific profiles and testimonials.

World of Concrete Workshop & Social Reception!

The Ashford Formula and RetroPlate teams will be exhibiting at this year's World of Concrete 2010 show which will be held February 2-5, 2010 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.

The Ashford Formula team will be holding a Social Reception to coincide with the World of Concrete exhibition.  The details are provided below in the digital invitation.

Christmas & New Year's Day Holiday Closures

Curecrete Distribution, Inc. will be closed December 24th, 25th & 28th in observance of the Christmas (US) holidays.

Regular business operations will resume on Tuesday, December 29th.

We will also be closed on January 1st in observance of New Year's Day and will resume operations on January 2nd.

NEW! Ashford Formula Electronic Literature Suite

The Marketing Department recently compiled all Ashford Formula literature into a single, complete "suite" for easier accessibility and distribution through various electronic mediums.

Each brochure may be downloaded individually or together as a whole.  We hope that this will increase the flexibility of distributing Ashford Formula literature and reduce the need for hard copy literature now and in the future.  By doing so, we will also be helping the environment, which is always an added incentive!

Cure-creeepy Halloween Party!

This past Friday, Curecrete Distribution, Inc. celebrated Halloween with a very fun and festive Halloween office luncheon in the conference room.  Thanks to Sheri-Ann (Marketing Director), Laura Clark (Sales & Corporate Accounts Assistant), Amanda Arnold (Purchasing Clerk) and Linda Beckman (Operations Assistant), the conference room was transformed into a dark dungeon with tons of cobwebs and mysterious bubbling potions of every color!

Everyone dined on hot soup and chili, along with a few tasty salads and warm, delicious bread sticks and rolls!  To make it even sweeter, there was pumpkin pie and fresh whipped cream, peanut butter brownies, doughnuts, homemade fruit cobbler, cupcakes and pumpkin whoopie pies filled with cream cheese butter cream.  As if things couldn't get any sweeter, Curtis Turnbull (RetroPlate National Accounts Representative) made a huge batch of his famous homemade root beer complete with dry ice for special effects!  Everyone agreed it was probably the best root beer they'd ever had!

The highlight of the party was when Jerry and Calleen Jones strolled in as a biker couple complete with leather jackets and helmets!  It was certainly an awesome sight to see.

Concrete Latinoamerica 2009

The sixth edition of Concreto Latinoamerica, formerly World of Concrete Mexico, was held from August 18 - 20, 2009 at the Centro de Exposiciones Banamex in Mexico City, Mexcio.

The conference hosted 7,252 construction members from more than 22 countries with 11,000 sqm of indoor exhibition area and 500 sqm of outdoor exhibition space.

On Monday, Curecrete Distribution, Inc. hosted two executives from Tokyo, Japan - Mr. Toshihiro Okawa, President and Mr. Takahiro Kagawa, Executive Officer and G.M. of Administration of Toyo Kogyo, Co. Ltd.  They visited with Jerry Jones, President and CEO of Curecrete Distribution, Inc. and Christine Tanner, Director of Operations and International Sales to discuss the Ashford Formula and the current global economic situation.
